Do you offer design services without construction?
We take this on a case-by-case basis. If your project doesn’t involve construction, we’re happy to provide full furnishings and styling services. However, for remodels, we only take on projects where KNC manages both the design and construction. This ensures the process runs smoothly, communication stays clear, and every detail is executed exactly as intended.
How long does the design process typically take?
This varies depending on the project’s size and scope, but most of our design phases take about 6–8 weeks. This includes everything from initial concepts to finalized plans and material selections.
What’s the difference between hiring a design-remodel firm and hiring a separate designer and contractor?
With a design-remodel firm, you get one team that handles everything from the creative design to the construction execution. This means no juggling multiple companies, no miscommunications, and no finger-pointing. We design first, then build with the same team that knows your vision inside and out. Can you work from plans created by another designer?
We only build from our in-house design plans. One of the biggest benefits of working with a design-remodel firm is that everything is handled under one roof so your design vision, materials, and construction are all perfectly aligned from start to finish.

Yes! We love bringing a space to life through furnishings and décor. Whether it’s part of a remodel or a standalone design project, we can help you create a beautifully finished home that feels cohesive and complete.
At what stage should we contact you if we’re planning a remodel?
The earlier, the better! Because we take on a limited number of projects each season, reaching out early helps ensure we have space on our schedule. It also allows us to get to know you, discuss goals and timing, and reserve your spot when you’re ready to move forward.
Do you provide estimates before the design is complete?
We start with a general budget discussion early in the process to make sure we’re designing within your comfort range. Once the design is complete and all selections are finalized, we’ll have detailed, accurate pricing. The advantage of our in-house structure is flexibility. If something needs to shift to stay on budget, our design and construction teams work hand-in-hand to make smart adjustments without compromising your vision.
